MINI300 pieceswithout glue kit

From Dina Zakmane’s Eden series. A pale figure folds into herself, eyes closed, while the green field around her curls into pink and yellow forms. The series is about a home no longer findable on the surface, and the way its echo returns as a feeling.

About the artwork

Eden belongs to Dina Zakmane’s Eden series, which she describes as a search for the source of the delicate anxiety and sadness tied to beautiful, forgotten memories of a lost home. Illusion inside reality is her central motif: the part of consciousness that holds something once known intimately and then mislaid while life was being lived.
That lost fragment, she suggests, may matter most of all. The painting speaks of memories no longer found on the surface, whose echoes resurface unexpectedly as the sense of something beautiful within.

The artist

Dina Zakmane

Dina Zakmane is a contemporary Latvian painter whose work listens closely to memory. Her canvases trace the quiet edge between the real and the imagined soft fields of color, gentle transitions, and a mood that feels like a thought returning. In the Eden series she explores the afterglow of places we’ve lost: the way a home, a season, or a feeling keeps living inside us as light. Zakmane’s language is restrained yet emotive; layers of oil and finely tuned tones become a space for reflection, calm, and renewal.
