Care guide

From the table
to the wall

How to build your DAILE puzzle, preserve it with the glue & display kit, frame it — and keep it beautiful for years.

Building it

Slow is the point

  1. Edges first

Start with the border, then fill in by colour, light and texture.

  2. Give it a table

Choose a flat surface where the puzzle can stay for a few evenings.

  3. Keep the pieces together

Between sessions the pieces wait in the bamboo capsule (Classic and Signature) or the velvet pouch (Mini).

  4. Take your time

Around 5 hours for 300 pieces, 7 for 500 and 13 for 1000 — no need to finish in one go.

Gluing

Six steps to a solid piece

  1. Prepare

Slide the finished puzzle onto a flat, protected surface (baking paper or a plastic sheet), press it even with flat hands and wipe off dust with the microfibre cloth.

  2. Shake and open

Gently shake the glue tube so the texture is even, then open it.

  3. Start in the centre

Apply a small amount — a few thin lines or drops — and work in sections.

  4. Spread thin

Spread in thin, even layers, horizontally and vertically, so the glue reaches every gap. A milky look is normal — it turns clear as it dries.

  5. Check the edges

Add a little more along the border so every corner piece is fixed.

  6. Let it dry flat

About an hour for a thin layer; a second layer gives a stronger, slightly glossier finish. Before hanging, let it rest overnight (12–24 hours).

Framing

Ready for the wall

Once dry, the puzzle is one solid piece — ready for a frame, a backing board or hanging hardware.

  • Finished sizes1000 pieces: 45 × 65 cm / 18 × 26 in
    Mini 500: 38 × 52 cm / 15 × 20 in
    Mini 300: 29 × 38 cm / 11 × 15 in
Measure before you order a frame.
  • DepthChoose a frame deep enough for the thickness of the puzzle.
  • Glass or no glassGlass or acrylic protects from dust and touch; without it, the texture of the pieces stays visible.
  • Hang it securelyA large puzzle in a frame needs secure hanging hardware.

Everyday care

Years on the wall

  1. Out of direct sun

Strong sunlight fades printed colours over time — a wall out of direct sun keeps them rich.

  2. Dust gently

Use a soft, dry cloth — the microfibre cloth from the kit is ideal. No water or sprays.

  3. Keep it dry

A puzzle is made of board: hang it away from steam and damp walls.

  4. Not glued yet?

Keep the pieces in the capsule or pouch, somewhere dry, and build it again whenever you like.

Care questions

Write to us
How long does the glue take to dry?

About an hour for a thin layer, depending on the room temperature. Let it rest overnight (12–24 hours) before you hang it.

Do I need the glue kit?

Only if you want to keep the finished puzzle. Classic and Signature sets include it; for Mini sets the Glue Kit is available separately.

Can I take it apart after gluing?

No — once glued, the pieces become one solid piece. If you would like to build it again, keep it unglued.

What frame size do I need?

1000 pieces: 45 × 65 cm / 18 × 26 in. Mini 500: 38 × 52 cm / 15 × 20 in. Mini 300: 29 × 38 cm / 11 × 15 in. Measure your finished puzzle before ordering a frame.
