Frederick Arthur Bridgman

Frederick Arthur Bridgman (1847–1928) was a prominent American "Orientalist" painter born in Tuskegee, Alabama, known for his detailed, sunlit scenes of North Africa and Egypt. After training as an engraver in New York and studying in Paris under Jean-Léon Gérôme, he built a successful career in France, later earning the Legion of Honor.
