Amalija Andersone is a Latvian visual artist, photographer and set designer whose work is drenched in colour, sunlight and story. She creates bright, narrative-driven paintings, creative food and product photography, and large murals for clients across Europe and beyond. Amalija grew up on fairy tales about explorers, distant lands and princesses – and now she paints the worlds she once read about. From Nubian villages and Silk Road cities to Greek islands and Latvian gardens, her canvases hold travels, flavours and fragments of everyday rituals. Latvian summers, in particular, inspire her to paint lush, feminine scenes with floral motifs and long, slow evenings outdoors.
