“Past in the Future” Artwork by Kristīne Priedīte
WELCOME
This work was assembled here at home as a DAILE puzzle and displayed as art. Tap to explore its story, symbols, and the artist behind it.
THE ARTWORK — WHAT YOU’RE SEEING
In “Past in the Future,” nature and technology weave into a single jungle: vines curl around circuits, leaves mirror algorithms, and metallic glints breathe like fireflies. The past returns in new forms myths become machines, fossils become frameworks while the future quietly questions our human core. Are we integrating with the wild or overwriting it? The piece doesn’t preach; it invites you to look, feel, and decide.
DECODE THE SYMBOLS (QUICK GUIDE)
-
Vines / Roots — memory, ancestry, the body’s instinct to heal.
-
Circuits / Grids — logic, speed, the architectures we build to feel safe.
-
Hybrid flora — evolution in real time; adaptation as poetry.
-
Glow in shadow — hope inside uncertainty; technology as lantern, not sun.
-
Palimpsest textures — history layered, never erased.
WHY THIS LIVES WELL AT HOME
-
A conversation spark between nature-lovers and tech-minds.
-
Calming rhythms with a thoughtful, future-curious edge.
-
A living ritual: first the 1000-piece build, then a daily reminder to choose balance.
ABOUT THE ARTIST — KRISTĪNE PRIEDĪTE
DAILE is proud to present the work of Kristīne Priedīte, a Latvian painter whose foundation in restoration at the Art Academy of Latvia (B.A.) and current pursuit of a Master’s degree anchors a practice devoted to seeing with uncommon clarity. Kristīne paints in oil with a realist’s discipline, building worlds of luminous color and meticulous detail where form, light, and memory converse.
Her studio process is intentionally iterative: study, experiment, absorb, refine. Restoration informs her sensitivity to materials and time; contemporary inquiry shapes her tone intimate, quietly daring, and rigorously made. The result is a body of work that bridges tradition and the present moment, inviting slow looking and rewarding it with depth.
HOW DAILE TRANSLATED CANVAS INTO A RITUAL
-
Print: color-true on premium low-glare board so micro-patterns stay crisp.
-
Cut: precise interlocks for a quietly meditative build.
-
Set: bamboo capsule for storage, concrete (soy) candle for atmosphere, microfiber cloth for finishing touches.
-
Story: bilingual cards + this NFC micro-book to share with guests.
LOOK CLOSER — 30-SECOND LENSES
-
Pattern: where do organic curves yield to engineered angles?
-
Color: track the transition from earth-tones to cool metallics.
-
Motion: let your eye “walk” the vines—do they map a circuit?
-
Feeling: does the piece calm you, challenge you, or both?
CARE & DISPLAY
Dust gently with the microfiber cloth. Avoid long hours of direct sun. If framing, choose low-glare glazing to preserve depth. Candle care: keep the wooden wick short; never leave unattended.
CONVERSATION STARTERS
-
Which element feels more alive here nature or tech?
-
If this future were a forest, what would we protect first?
-
What “past” do you think is returning?
